2022 Winter League

The Winter League commenced on Saturday 8th January and runs for 10 weekends over 13 holes each week (6th to 18th).
(If the course is closed over a weekend for any reason the duration of the League will be reduced accordingly.)
Two competitions will be arranged each weekend, Friday/Saturday and Sunday/Monday
Competitors must nominate which day they are playing their winter league card and ensure WL is written on that card.
Voucher prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in the league.
The team in last place receives the wooden spoon!
Voucher prizes will also be awarded to the Best Overall Individual & the Best Individual in each team.
There are 12 teams this year with 8 players in each team.
The best 5 scores counting in a team each week.
The team with the best five card stableford total each week will receive 14 points, second place team receives 12 points, third place 10 points, fourth place 9 points, fifth place 8 points etc.
If two or more teams finish the week with the same five card total, they will both receive the same number of points.
The team individual and overall individual competitions are determined by the best 7 cards from 10 weekends. This will change to 6 from 9, 5 from 8, 4 from 7 etc. if the number of available weekends are reduced due to bad weather.
Winter League Team Tiebreaker
If two or more teams tie on the same number of points at the end of the Winter League, the advantage will go to the team scoring the greater number of points over the final weekend.
Winter League Individual Tiebreaker
If two or more individuals have the same 7 card total at the end of the league, whoever has the better 8th card will be declared the winner and if still tied, the best 9th card and if needs be the 10th card will count.
Team prizes…only players who have played a minimum of 5 weekends will be eligible for a team prize
